green algae
i have my salwater tank for over 2 yrs. just start my reef and i bougth a reef accelerator and it turns everything in my tank green. what is this green algae? is this algae goin to turn purple?

no that is film algae or cyano, hard to tell from a picture, but it is something you will want to get rid of it. It isn't the green coralline that usually gives way to purple coralline if that is what you meant.

What are your water levels at when you test it. Also are you using tap water? How old are your lights and what kind are they mh, t5, pc?

i used tap water when i did my water change a few weeks ago about 5 gallons and i have a r7s mh and i used the dip tester to check my water.
how do i get rid of this green stuff? |
