A few noobcake questions
Hello all. Here we gooo
1) Ok so i started to get a few spots of corline agle on my back wall. I was just wondering how do i produce more. Do i have to keep scatching a little bit off eat time, or will it eventually just slowly take over my tank whitout touching it. 2) I got a 28 gal fish/reeftank tank with t5 ho bulbs. Last night my clown fish jumped out of my tank, may he R.I.P. I have a glass cover but i dont use it bez the lighing dont pass to well threw glass i hear. so i was wondering what should i make my lid out of , acrilic glass or plastic or no lid bez i have soft coral. 3) I saw this fish(( red scouter dragonet i think is the name )) it has red and white stripes . I was wondering is a 28g good for him bez i hear they need live food from the live rocks and stuff, but my lfs sell like live black worms and stuff like that. Just wondering how hard is it to keep this guy. Beauce his really cute. 4) I have a leather hand coral and it was brown when i got him but his all blue now and it looks like it keep sheading and his brown then blue agian or more of like a teal kinda colour. ok i think thats it, any input will be greatly appicated , ty. |

1. Let it go. You'll be cursing it on your front glass in no time.
2. You can try egg crating. Glass cover's aren't too bad but they trap heat and crum up fast REALLY blocking the light. 3. Check your tank at night to make sure you have pod's galore. You'll want a good pod population and a fuge for any dragonette. Long term they may turn to mysis or brine, but it's rare (happened once for me). 4. I pass on that one...not a leather guy. |

2. Sorry about your fish. You can try placing egg crate over the tank, or a mesh bird netting. You don't want to cover it with acrylic or glass because that will interfere with gas exchange. 3. Scooter dragonettes are best left for large, well established tanks. They feed mainly on pods and smaller tanks just aren't big enough to support a large pod population. 4. It's normal for leathers to shed from time to time.
