Weekly (10-15%) I have two Nano tanks, 28 and 12 gallons, so water changes are a must.

20% weekly on my 75 gallon. I may go to every 2 weeks as its getting expensive buying all this salt.

Every Thursday night about 10%... mainly because if I did it every other week (which I could probably get away with), then I wouldn't be on such a set schedule and would be more likely to miss a week and start extending it to every 3 weeks, and then maybe 4 weeks, and so on.

Plus, since I don't really dose what I can't test (I only supplement Calcium, Alkalinity, and Magnesium), I find that doing small water changes more frequently helps with maintaining any "trace elements" I don't test for, and thus, my corals are all doing great.

About 10% every two weeks on my 400 gallon system. If I do any more my corals freak out. Some will start showing RTS at the base if I do weekly changes.

I have been told this is caused by my salt mix and I am currently looking to start using a different mix once I use the 5 cases I have left from my bulk buy.

weekly and try to do 10% if possible. If it is possible for you to do more that is even better!

10 gallons weekly on a 60-70g system. My sump is an old one with a crappy skimmer run off a wooden airstone, so I figure the more the better as I'm not pulling out nearly as much as others.

HMM- most are saying weekly. why so often? is it to keep up with calcium and alk? If so then you couldn't do enough to keep up unless you have hardily any corals. I do 25 gallons at the first of the month on a 150. water is clear and coral are happy. dose alk and calc. 2 part

1. I find it easier to do a 5 gallon change every weekend than a 25 gallon change ever.

2. I feel it's more about nutrient export than keeping up on Ca/Alk, although I feel it may keep the trace elements a little more stable using a higher frequency of changes.

3. (MOST IMPORTANT) If I skip weeks it becomes less routine and someday I'll be sitting around wondering "when was the last water change I did, 3 weeks...5 weeks?" and "where did all this hair algae come from?"
