used tank
Hey folks. Picked up a used 150g (72 1/2 x 18 1/2 x 28 1/2) for a song. Its old however. Im getting ready to tear it apart and re-seal it. The trim is shot, so im thinking of either using some from of modern plastic trim (think Chingchai's tank) or eurobracing. The tank is 1/2" think glass, and didn't have any bracing originally. Due to typical wear and tear, im thinking of euro bracing just to be on the safe side.
Any suggestion on one vs the other? Also, if to euro brace, what specs would be best? Thanks! Nowell |

Ok, after researching, im thinking of just doing 3 strips of 1/8" glass (2 edge, 1 center) about 2" wide. I think that should be more than enough. Might go a bit wider on the center brace.

I would post this on the DIY forum. You are more likely to get informed help there.
