Marco Rocks! PICS!
I got my Marco Rocks order today. Shipping took only 3 days! I ordered 80 lbs of rock and 80 lbs of sand for my 72 gallon bowfront.
I was impressed with the packaging tons of bubble wrap keeping things safe. Very little rubble just a few pieces. This is what 80 lbs of the Key Largo Rock looks like. Plus there are some pretty big pieces at least a couple per box are around a foot long. (This one is about 10 in.) There is also a good range of sizes, from 6 in. up to the largest 12 in. This is a lot more rock than I expected and I love the look...now on to aquascaping! |

I ordered Marco rocks last week and also loved the rocks I got. I hardly had any rubble in the box and it came with nice big pieces. I added the sand today so the water is all cloudy but as soon as it clears up I'll take a picture of the aquascape and post them. Also, I have read some threads ragging on Marc for poor customer service. I got the rock in 3 days but the sand wasn't here a week later. I emailed Marc and got a prompt response. He told me he shipped the sand but if I hadn't recieved it yet something was wrong. He immediately shipped out more sand and I got it two days later. Seems like good customer service to me.

I very much like that look of the marco rock... I ordered a couple hundred pounds for my 300 gallon display. What I have found, though, is that it has taken a lot longer to "cure" than I had expected. I had it in saltwater with a few pieces of seed liverock for about 9 months (without any light or other bioload), and now it's been about 6 months in the display with the rest of my liverock and it is still taking it's sweet time to go through some of the algae cycles. What's funny is that the marco rock may be covered in something, while my old liverock looks great. So, by no means am I trying to discourage, as I think it's a great product, but be patient with it.

Looks great. Can't wait until I'm ready to order mine! I'm also curious about the cleaning process.

Mine should be here tomorrow. Marc was very good to talk to over the phone!
What did you do to clean? I was thinking of just rinsing in RO water... |

Some of the best customer service I've come across and there rocks are remarkable! If you're looking for an easy solution to a very natural aquascape this would be a great purchase. Well worth it!

They really look nice and easy aquascaping IMO. They are heavy though.

The Live fiji from marco is curely to perfection If you like the dry (I know I love mine) I would highly reccomend seeding with the fiji they carry
and def rinse the dry rocks, quite a bit of dust as I am sure you have realized by now
