Sand Question
Well I decide to try something new with my 75g tank. I am using beach sand that I collect from my vacation in SC, and I think it look awesome . I don't now if it will work but I like it, have any of you fellow reefers ever try this before, if this is a bad idea speak now before it finish cycling.

This question comes up quite often, I would definitely not add the sand straight from the beach, you will have to clean and kill all the contaminates from the sand. Usually it's more of a problem then it is a money saver.

do it. Just make sure it's pure sand (no soil, etc.).
