Newbee wondering about DSB fuge
I am thinking about making my refugium a DSB.
Should I put any live rock in there? Should I put any clean up crew in there? If so, what kind? |

Most people do put live rock rubble in there so that the copepods will have a place to live and breed. Also putting some snails in there is a good idea. I even had an urchin in mine for awhile.

I just setup my fuge with about a 6 inch sand bed. I have no live rock in there, just chaeto and the sand. It probably would be a good idea to add snails to get rid of the algae that grows in there overtime.
