MH bulbs?

I have 2 250W MH fictures above my 90. The guy I got them from said they should be replaced. This is going to be a reef tank. What kind of bulb ratings should I get? What are some decent brands?

I like the appearance of the Phoenix 14K bulb as a stand-alone bulb.

It's gonna be personal prefference.
I like a 14k Hamilton for my soft coral tank and I like the Radium 20k for my zoanthid tank.

+1 on Phoenix 14K bulb. Good growth and colors as well. If you go with 20K bulb you will sacrifice growth for color, all depends on what you want

I like the Radium 20K also. If you want to intensify the color of your corals, consider adding some blue LEDs such as the Ecoxotic ones? I put them in about 4 months ago and it makes thing look a lot more vibrant! The price is right too.

I prefer the Radium 20K, it is not as blue as most other manufacturers 20K, my favorite color mh bulb. Phoenix 14K is also a great choice.

I should also have asked if you plan on using any actinics over the tank?
