GHL Profilux VS Presteltic pumps
Hello all,
recently started doing the balling method for providing CA, MG and KH, wanting to automize it. which one of the above would you advice ? 3 paresteltic pumps connected to a RKL controller ? ($130 per pump and I have the RKL) or a GHL Profilux 3 pump stand alone ($600) if the GHL, why ? lol Im going to pick one up today and need some reasons to justify paying 600 (200 more) for a GHL lol anyone using these units ? |

I went with the Profilux recently. I just thought it was a little better quality. I also didn't want to run it through my controller either.
I only paid $430 for my 3 pump stand alone. I did get it through a group buy but without it i think it was about $480 or so. I got mine through Progressive Reef in Canada. I think they have free shipping within Canada as well. I like mine but i haven't tried any other ones before.. |

so how good would you say it is ? you think I can leave it for a month and be sure it will dose the same amount ? how easy is it to get started ? with paresteltic pumps you need to measure the output, calibrate it, program it and ... . which all can change :S |

I really like it. It didn't take long to set up at all. I took my time too. I did calibrate the pumps but they actually were all calibrated right from the factory. It really is as simple as they come. I have adjusted my dosing a few times to get the amount with no problems. I just thought it being all in one was so much easier than using a controller.
I was more leaning toward this or the litermeter myself. I went with this one because i wanted the 3 pumps. the litermeter got pretty expensive when you added it all up The profilux is a lot cleaner looking compaired to all the seperate pumps as well. I did need to put a shelf in my stand for it to go on though. If you call Progressive reef, i worked with Garthe. He was a really nice guy. |
