RODI Hookup help

I am hooking up an RODI and need to figure out how to plumb it with 2 float switches, one in a waste barrel and one in a good water barrel so that if either one is triggered all water flow stops. is this possible and if so, how?

From what I remember when I put my RODI unit in, the waste line can not be plugged. But you could possibly hook a float switch and a valve that shuts off the supply feed when the waste or the water barrel is full. 2 electric float switches in series and a water valve to kill the supply when the switches either valve trips. Not sure what is available in a stainless valve. Shouldn't be to hard to set up as long as you can find the shutoff valve.

Good luck.

Off topic for the original poster, but any close drain will work.

The waste is going to be used, and there is also no drain and nowhere to put it other than another barrel.

I think i have come up with a solution though. there are going too be 2 waste barrels due to the disproportionate production, and they will be plumbed together. i will then install the float switch in one of them (a pressure solenoid will be used before the Membrane to stop water flow then the float switch is triggered.) I will then plumb the "GOOD Water" barrel to the waste barrel with the float switch, at a point above the level of the float switch so that waste never gets in the GOOD barrel due to the fact that water production will be cut off by the float switch before that could happen. That way, 1. only one float switch is needed, 2. if for some reason the waste is emptied while the GOOD barrel is still full and water is made the overflow of the GOOD will go to the waste, yes i realize its WASTEful, but better than on the carpeted floor, and 3. EVERYONE IS HAPPY.

Not off topic i "assumed" the reason for keeping the wastewater in a seperate barrel was because it wasn't going to be plumbed into a drain. I shouldhave asked if he had any plans for the watewater besides wasting it.

What's a good use for the waste water?
