Need help to build 10Gal sump
As of now I have a 10 gal reef tank but am going to switch it to my 30 gal. I then want to use my empty 10gal as a sump. Can any one provide me with a drawing of this to help me build it? Also any specs as for as alge or mud or pumps needed. Thanks every one

It's going to depend on what you are going to put in it. I have my water draining into my skimmer compartment, going through a bubble trap to my return pump area. I then t off my return to my fuge. This is just one way to do it, there is no right way. You have to define your equipment to know what size to make your sections. I assume you pump will be pretty small, you will only want 200 to 300 gallons going through the sump, but if your return area is too small, it will be hard to determine evaporation for daily topping off. Some will not partition anything off, and in a volume as small as a 10 gal that may be the way to go. Remember to leave enough room volume wise to take care of a power faliure!
