Unhappy Help with Swallowtail anglefish

I have a mated pair of Swallowtail anglefish. I have had them for about a year now. My problem is for some reason tonight the male was chasing the female around and pecking at her side. She looked pretty distresed and he was being prety agresive. Is this a normal courtship behavior or is he just becoming agressive toward her. The pair is in a 120 gallon reef tank they share with three neon gobys and a pair of maron clowns. Thanks for the help and advice.
