86 is high, however if it stays more or less constant around that level the temperature in itself should not be killing your fish. There are many people who kept successful tanks at similar temperature.
Keep in mind that the higher the temperature the lower is the dissolved oxigen in the water, so unless you have vigorous areation with a lot of surface flow and a large skimmer lack of O2, may be your problem. Also water quality is more difficult to be kept pristine, since the higher temperature promote bacteria and other nuisance algae growth (cyano, diatoms, hair algae etc.) All in all a higher temp tank is more difficult to maintain. As suggested by previous poster I would work on keeping temp lower, in the high 70 if possible. Consider relocating the sump from the garage, if the garage gets to hot, even with a chiller, unless you get a really big one will be difficult to lower temp significantly and even with a big chiller you will be wasting a lot of money in electricity. Also check water quality. When fish start dieing that is almost always the culprit.

try freezing a gallon jug every night and put it in the sump in the morning rotate with a second jug in the evening not a long term solution but would help you for now.

How many fish do you have in that tank?
What is your normal temp? 86* shouldn't cause your fish to die alone, but, if your tank is overstocked, it could be a factor.

Is there any signs of disease on these fish? My tank has hit pretty high and nothing died.
