Please help on overflow box.
Im getting a rimless 45g 24x24x18 tank. My question is what kind of overflow box is the best? I looked at the overflow box from perfecto where it is in the middle of the tank and it is drilled on the back but I don't know if I like that.
I don't have a lot of experience on this. My old tank have corner overflow with hole drilled at the bottom. I know there is external overflow box? What is the best way to do it? What the advantage and disadvantage of each type. Please advise. Thanks |

I would recommend the Glass-Holes 700GPH Kit. It's far less intrusive than the Perfecto/AGA overflows and looks great on a rimless setup.

Definetly drill. HO-OB are loud, and take up space. Most reefers near me have overflows custom built to fit the back wall in the inside as an overflow box. Then drilled with one or 2 holes as a fail safe. It doesn't take up much space or water displacment. I would suggest searching for bean animal overflow. it's what I'm going to use next time in my tank. Have fun!!
