EB8 with power compact issue.

I have a EB8 with a two plugs used for lighting.

Plug 1 has a strip connected to it and when it turns on - 2 96 watt 6500k Power Compacts and the hood fan turn on. Works fine both on and off.

Plug 2 has a splitter connected to it and when it turns on the 2 96 watt 10000K Power Compacts turn on. Turn on fine but sometimes when I manually turn it off with computer, display or iPhone the status is registered as off but the lights stay on.

All other outlets seem to work fine. I moved the 10000K lights to Plug 8 and they work fine.

Any ideas?

Is the Relay outlet better for lights?

Should I move the 6500k to plug 4?

That's unusual that you would have problems with lights on those outlets. Typically problems arise with very small current devices.

Test some other devices on that problem outlet. Watch to see if it consistently turns off. If not, contact Neptune support.

In the mean time you can use outlets 4 or 8 to most likely work around this problem. I did this with my lower watt and new variable speed koralia power heads it with outlets 4 or 8 when it says off, it is off.

Also, make sure that all your outlet names are unique. Using the same name for more than one outlet can cause control problems.

Found a fix but not working again.

I solved the problem a long time ago by using outlets 4/8. I connected 2 blue to 4 and 2 white to 8. Each power compact is a 96 watt bulb. That worked fine. Now I have another eb8, I moved the sump to the basement, I have more outlets in the stand. I would like to separate the blues and the whites and use 4 outlets. Problem is back to the old problem with the lights staying on. Anyone have any ideas?
