Best tubing to use for two part doser pump

Whats the best to use for running two part solutions from and to the perilstalic pumps, silicone or vinyl? I was thinking the vinyl would be more rigid and not collapse

For the tube inside the unit and against the rollers, I'd contact the manufactures for a suitable replacement. For the lines running back to your sump or wherever the doser goes, I'd use black or other colored tubing to cut down or remove growth. Beyond that, as long as the tube is NSF, it's probably perfectly fine for our use.

Have you ever used this on a peristaltic pump? I dont think there would be any growth in calcium or alk solutions, I believe they are way to concentrated to grow any bacteria or anything. Maybe this would work but Im thinking it would be to rigid to make a good seal with the plastic compression fitting without tightening it to the point of breaking.

I have indeed used hard tubing connected to a peristaltic pump. As mentioned every pump is different. If the pump you're using requires a soft tube and compression fitting for hookup and you don't want to use some sort of adapter, then rigid wouldn't be the best solution for direct hookup to the pump. There is however a reason that even super clean RO/DI water is recommended to be stored in a sealed, dark, movement free container.

I use the light blue silicone for alk and Ca and my runs are about 10 ft long, partially on the garage floor.

The are always exposed to daylight and I've seen no algae growth in over a year

No problems and I accidentally step on them all the time.
