How do hermit crabs poop?
Everyone and everything poops (I read the book), but how do hermit crabs? I feel like the shell might get in the way.
I was just looking at my new pets and wondering the mechanism. Do they let go of the shell or does it come out somewhere else? Thanks for answering my strange question. |

The factor in this query is questionable..................
So, after crabs have existed in one form or another for at least thousands of years, they wouldn't have evolved a method of dropping the evolutionary deuce without the shell getting in the way? Really?

Awesome question still laughing about it. I'm kinda curious now too.
Off topic: I finally got to see some switch shells when I first set the new tank up, I put em in there because I wanted their shells and they are ugly when they come out. I did get them to switch shells and returned em to the ocean.

Evolutionary Deuce!!! haha
I think they just let it go in their shell and then water washes it out. So basically they are that smiling 4 year old thats currently peeing in the public pool.....

What made me wonder this is that I saw a hermit that seemed to be pushing his shell up against the glass and shaking things out... I'm really interested to see if anyone knows...I hope its not something boring. |
