6 VHO vs 4 T5's?
I have 2 Icecap 430 ballasts running 6 VHO bulbs.
Tank is a 90 gallon. 4'x18". Tank a mix of hard and soft corals. I'm debating switching to T5's but I have some questions... (and I apologize if this has been asked. I looked. Honest!) Will the PAR be higher with 4 T5's vs the 6 VHO's? (If anyone can point me at tables, formulas and figures I am happy to do the math myself) I assume that the heat will be less as the wattage will be less, true? (Tank stays at 78 without a chiller now. Any more heat and I will need one) What is the wattage on a 4' T5 bulb? Thanks! |

Nope. Never got an answer.
I decided not to change my VHO's out. |
