I have an older one, and it's not for wavemakers. I tried it, and it didn't work well.

I have a #4 that clicks everytime I start it. i know that one cant be done
this #7magnum seems ideal as it starts quiet everytime. im thinking every 4 hours is the same as plugging it in and cant find the harm [yet] hoping someone can shed some light |

I tried it on #4's and they click, I have heard of people adding a small piece of air tubing to the end of the impeller shaft to prevent the clicking.

The new evolutions work fine for me. I have 3 1000 gallon 1's that have worked great for the last 3 months

evolutions are made for it, im hoping the magnums share the same start up the evo's use
the #7's are Equipped with an electronic start up system so they are better then a #4 on a a cycle still trying to find out if someone has played with the magnum line on a timer Last edited by outy; 07/24/2010 at 04:13 PM. |

Koralia even states that the new models are made to use on a normal wavemaker. I used 2 of the old #4s for over a year btw with no probs other than the clicking. I just wouldnt use the old ones a a wm that cycles very often. Every few minutes should be fine.
