Algae or something else?

Would this be algae on my LR or something else? (excuse my worm he didn't want to miss the photo opt)

Looks like normal red coraline algae to me. Its normal.

looks like a healthy tank to me. Keep up the good husbandry.

Thanks! This is my other rock, it has a lot of white spots on it...but was like that when i purchased from LFS; was this not a 'good' LR?

The white spots are just dead coraline, but it looks like it is growing new. Not a bad purchase, it will be covered with coraline soon.

excellent...I just found out what coraline was and there are several small patches of coraline on that rock thanks for the encouragement guys!
