DIY Venturi Skimmers - Saturation Chamber
I've been researching venturi style skimmers and have noticed that some have a "saturation chamber" and some do not. Is there any real advantage to having a seperate saturation chamber inside the main reaction chamber?
Does a skimmer perform better (less turbulent, more contact time) if the flow is directed through a bubble plate or if it is allowed to freely swirl up through the reaction chamber? or another method? Thanks! Last edited by JPKelly; 08/27/2010 at 09:06 AM. |

This would be better answered in the DIY forum, there are several experienced reefers over there who have built multiple skimmers.
