Critters??
Hi all. I got new lights about 3 weeks ago, and I am starting to grow a decent amount of green algae on the sandbed of my tank...
My question isn't exactly how it got there, but what kind of critters I should be thinking about in a 55 gal future reef tank. i have 50+ lbs of fiji live rock, and my tanks been running almost 2 months now with steadily low nitrates right now all i have is a single peppermint shrimp (this has been a slow tank in process =)) |

If your tank's cycle is complete, I would add about 25 assorted snails as a clean-up crew. I would also add 10 hermit crabs, although many do not like them, I think they do a good job of keeping a tank clean.
