I have had my G3 since 2004 and it works ok. Mine is by no means stock though, it is recirculating, gate valve mod, replaced Sedra with a PSK2500 and is fed by a GenX 2400 needlewheel. It worked good on my old 125 and will be fine for a 90, IMO this skimmer works better as a recirculating skimmer. If the price is good it will work fine. It was too much for the 58 gallon tank so I put the Sedra back on it and it is pulling good.
