mag 5 for 60g cube

Relatively new to the hobby. Just put up a 60g cube and got a mag 5 return pump. I am getting a gurgling noise from the overflow area. Read similar situations on the internet and some ppl say it could be due to too much return flow. Just wondering if a mag 5 could be too much flow for a 60g or maybe a way to lower the amount of flow im getting out of it. Any advice that would help me get rid of the noise would be greatly appreciated.
