A picture of my plumbing and a question

My pump as you can see is alot closer to one side than the other. Does this matter When I plumb it to the return lines on the tank? One side will be much shorter than the other. Thanks Its an in-wall 265 by the way.Sorry about the dog,he seems to think he has to be in all the pics.

Long story short, use ball valves and unions, or true union ball valves where ever you can. That being said you will adjust the water flow to the overflow(s) manually. Most likely you'll end up closing the one of the left a bit and possibly not so on the right hand side. Depending on the pumps specs and plumbing which we'll stay away from in this post. No worries, just don't restrict the flow at the input of the pump, keep that valve wide open

The pump being closer to the one side will not make a big difference. The side that is closer may have a slightly higher flow but nothing you will notice.
