2 Bubble Tips in a 55 gallon, too many?

I have a 55 gallon that's been up almost two years and have a Rose Bubble tip anenome that is hosted by a pair of true perc clowns. They've been happy together for almost a year.

I was thinking of getting a green bubble tip to add to the tank.

Is a second a bad idea and also will it upset the clowns?

Thanks

The clowns would be okay since they're already hosted by the original RBTA. I'd hold off on a second BTA, as they may sting each other, and in case they both start splitting for some reason.

Also, I'm guessing you don't have any corals in the tank?

I'd say they would be fine as long as you don't have any corals you care about. They can be touching each other just fine.

They will not sting each other. As long as they are the same species they will be fine in the same tank. Just dont mix species.

I do have corals so on balance I think I'll leave it as one BTA in the tank.

The large Fox coral I have looks a bit like an anenome and I've got four multiheaded Duncans as well so probably enough tentacles for one tank.

Thanks

Assuming that you have the space, and your tank can handle another anemone you will be fine adding another E. Quadricolor. Color morphs of the same anemone will not sting each other. Over the years I have kept (( all at different times )) E. Quadricolor, LTAs (( M. doreensis )), and S. Haddoni in the same tank, and even touching each other with zero issues.
