your calcium sounds a little high. also did u check the lights that they were under at the LFS? if their lights were weaker then yours, the lights are probably the problem. you have to acclimate new corals to your lights. start with lights on for 4 hours a day. slowly increase that to 9-10 hours a day over 2 weeks

other than that im no sps expert. nice setup though, i like ur aquascape

never knew you had to get the corals acclimate to different lights. I think it was just 1-250w MH so now with the LED's it might be the problem.

It could be a number of things, but not acclimating to new lights would be my first suspect.

yeah. when my old manager moved his tank, he had everything in buckets for a day or 2. when he put everything back he forgot and left all 8 T5 lights running. almost bleached his RBTA and some acans and bleached out a brain. a mistake he wont make again

I thought the white colouring on the tips is growth. However that one that is full white looks to be a different story

Birdsnest can grow under power compact lighting so having up in the top zone of your tank is a problem. Also like stated on your vid your tank is not really stable enough yet for most sps. The birdsnest might be ok if moved down but stability and a completed cycle will greatly improve your success. FWIW a completed cycle is more then just your nitrifying bacteria.

If my Mag was low, would i have a problem with Cal and Alk??? Every week I do tests everything comes back in range of what its supposed to be. This is going into week 12 and I still dont have any purple or red algae forming. Dont want to dose cal if I am getting readings of 440-460. Just wondering what I am doing wrong or why stony corals are dying.
