Auto 2 part dosing with Profilux Dosing pump
I just bought a Profilux Dosing Pump (3 pumps)
I was told that the 2 part solutions need to be stirred/shaken beofre dosing and I would require a small powerhead in the jugs to keep them from separating or settling. Has anyone experienced this problem? Anything else i should be wary of?I don't want to spend all this money and have it no better than me dumping supplements in manually. Cheers! |

What supplements are you looking at using? I'm using Fauna Marin balling salts and I only mix them manually on very rare occasion. I doubt you even really need to, but do just to be on the safe side.

I mix my own using BRS cal/alk and don't shake either one during the month it takes me to go through a gallon of each. I never see anything settling to the bottom.

BRS Ca/Alk and Mag. That's all.
Good to hear it's not as much an issue ad I was lead to believe. I planned on giving them a shake every now and then. |

my brs mag settles, the ca and alk don't. I use a profilux dosing system to dose them.

Cool! Looking forward to setting it up/ I know the tank will be happier for it and it's one less thing I need to worry about doing every day.

Prickles is right. I dose my mag manually twice a week and it does need a good shake.
