New tank /old lights?
Hey guys, need an opinion please. setting up a 48x24x24 tank. 120 gals. Currently using a Tek 6 bulb on a 48x18 tank. Will these lights due the trick for the new tank? Mostly softies and a few sps..... Been thinking about going back to MH. Also, about what height would you place the tek over the tank? I saw a sick looking set up at an LFS that has this same light 16" over the top of the tank seems high, but obviously it worked.

Yes, that Tek light will be good for your tank.
Personally, I like metal halides better than T5 but in your case, save yourself some money and stick with the Tek light you have now. It will do the trick for you. |
