Sequence 4300 flow restriction
I have the opportunity to swap our my noisy Reeflo Tarpon with a Sequence 4300 which should be much quieter and would be nice to have for a future build. The problem is now the flow at 0' of head pressure will be triple the flow of the Tarpon. With roughly 12' of head pressure I would need to restrict the pump by nearly 50% (maybe more) after head pressure is figured in to get the flow I want, the tank(s) would simply have to much flow in them at full tilt.
I have restricted the output of many pumps before without issue but never one so large reduced so much. Is it safe with this type of pump? Does it increase the noise of the pump? Perhaps inductor nozzles at each of the 4 returns will help dial back the flow by increasing head pressure. |
