over drive halide bulb
I have a lumatek 250 dimable ballast could i over drive a hamilton or phoenix on the hqi setting will it hurt the bulb. The hqi setting puts out 275 watt. Its a se bulb

The phoenix would actually run closer to its spec wattage on the "hqi" setting, itis made to be run on magnetic HQI ballasts. Not sure on the hammy.....

I run mine on the hqi setting and have been for the last 3 months no issues. Mine are DE but it shouldn't matter.
