Calcium Reactor stop dripping

I've been having problem with my calcium reactor being stop dripping from the effluent outlet. But after pulling it apart and re-setup again, it works for a few days before it stop dripping again. Im using a small power head to feed into the reactor.

Any thoughts on this problem ?

Thanks.

The effluent valve is getting clogged, soak it in warm vinegar for a while. Some valves are better at resisting the calcium buildup than others but it happens to all of them. One way to avoid it is to use a peristaltic pump to pull the effluent from the reactor.

How long do you think before it get clogged ? The longest I have running before stopping is 10 days.
I'm using an infusion roller type valve which have no contact with the water at all.

Here is the valve shown in blue in this pic. If found this better for fine adjustment.

It is a pinch type, it gets clogged inside the tubing, you may be able to clear the clog by opening the valve and soaking in hot vinegar but eventually it will clog again. I use a micro gate valve but even it gets clogged, I am just used to cleaning it every few months. The peristaltic pump is the only way I have used that works. I would still be using mine but the flow rate is too great for my tank. There are adjustable ones or you could always get those pinch types in bulk and change them out when clogged.
