Too much flow?

I have a BB 40g breeder. Have a Mag 9.5 for return, turned down 25% at 4' of head. So im assuming that its about 450gph in the display. Also have a koralia#3 and 2koralia#2's

Im keeping all sps.

~3000gph going through the bare bottom display, no dead spots anywhere.

I have both the K#2's in the right corner facing the front to create random flow. The K#3 in the back left corner blowing across the back wall. The return is on the left facing the front.

Does anyone see a issue with this? I have decent PE, but some look like they want less. I am unsure.

Thanks
David

On the high side but should be fine....see how it goes, pull one of the 2's out if corals look stressed

Seems like lots of flow, but should be fine as long as all the SPS corals are opening up. You can always aim the powerheads towards the surface as well.

To be honest it's really hard to get good information about how to create good flow in your tank. It's greatly complicated by the walls of rock that exist in most tanks. The following article has influenced me the most, but I feel it still leaves me hanging.

I think it's pretty hard to tell you. You're gonna have to just see how it works out. A good rule of thumb is if your corals look like they're going through a hurricane, then toning it down might be a good idea.

I think you have the perfect amount of flow. In my 40br I have a mag 7 return going full go along with a Koralia evo 1050 and a 750. This is perfect for my mixed reef but as I shift more toward SPS I will up upgrading the 750 to a 1050 or maybe even a 1400
