Bubble Blaster on ASM G4?

Anyone ever put a bubble blaster pump on a G4?

I recently purchased the skimmer here on RC, and the pump volute and venturi arrived broken. I have never used this skimmer. Trying to decide on going with a bigger Sedra 9000 or 15000, or putting a 3000 Bubble Blaster with a bubble plate.

Any input?

I've never put a bubble blaster on an ASM, but if I were a betting man I'd be betting on the Bubble Blaster pump. The 3000 model I believe pulls around 75 SCFH. I'm sure many will say that the Sedra was "made" to match the G4 body, but I've seen a G4x running a stock Sedra and it was far from impressive. I have an octopus skimmer running an HY2000 and it's a beast. I think the BB will turn your G4 into a beast as well. HTH.

I believe you're going to have a monster if you modify it to use a bubble blaster 3000 with a bubble plate... I'd do it. I launched my gen1 red dragon pump out the window of my bubbleking 180 in place of a bubble blaster 2000. Now I have a bk-180 on steroids.

Well I'm waiting to settle for shipping damages, as soon as that is done you all helped me decide to do what I already wanted to do BUBBLE BLASTER!!!!!

I was hoping that someone would chime in that had done it before to let me know if there was any plumbing, etc issues.

I'll post some pics here once it is running.

Please do. I'm still running the 5000 on my g-3. It can't last forever.

I ordered it off a website in the states. I believe it came to about $200. Shipping and everything. I can't remember if I got reamed by customs or not.
