Is this an accurate representation of the Ushio 20K? (Pic included)

I found this one the net. It is a 150 watt 20K Ushio.

Would a 250 watt DE 20K Ushio on icecap ballast look exactly like this pic?

Not sure if it would look exactly like that, but I think you'd be happy. I ran every kind of 250 DE bulb and the only ones I would pick now are the ushio 20k, 14k phoenix, and 20k XM.

Of the Three listed, which ones is the least blue, and gives the most contrast with other colors, such as red, greens, yellows, etc.

The 14k should be the least blue. I am guessing the 20k ushio will look more blue than the one pictured.

Really, no way to tell without knowing if the picture was processed properly and your monitor has been calibrated with an applicable tool.

I've read other posts that the Phoenix 14k actually has a bluer hue than the ushio 20k. I don't know this to be fact, but I'm going to be ordering two new 150watt de bulbs soon and was leaning toward the Phoenix 14k's. There were some pics comparing the two, I just can't find the thread. Maybe it depends on what ballast is running them?

The one pictures is actually a 20K Ushio. It's 150 watts, but no idea which ballast is being use, or if the picture was modified at all.

I am really surprised no one is using the Ushio 20K.

I just replaced my 250 watt 14K DE Ushios with two new 20K Ushios. I'd say that picture is very accurate. I'm running them on Current electronic ballasts. Also running three ATI Blue Plus and one UVL 14K for the T-5s.

Awsome, I would imagine I would get similar results on a Icecap electronic ballast. I am also running a 250 watt DE.

Thanks so much for the input.

I'm running an Ushio 20k on an Icecap ballast. It's definitely bluer than the Phoenix 14k. If you are lookiong for something less blue, then the Phoenix bulb would be the one to go with.
