Invertebrates for Agressive Tank
Hello Everyone ,
I am new to the hobby and i was wondering what (if any) invertebrates I could put in my tank to help out with the cleaning , i have heard the possibilities are slim to none with the fish selection that i have in my tank Lionfish(small) Powder Blue Tang (medium) Stars and Stripes puffer (small) Blue Hippo Tang(medium) Thanks for the help |

To Reef Central Give us your tank size. There are a few that might outdo this crowd: a fighting conch, nassarius snails (both stay under the sand and are valuable sand cleaners), chitons, abalone, cowries, etc---might avoid being picked off.

I've also had pretty good luck with blue-leg hermits. You'll have some attrition early on, and then you'll think they're all gone, but they learn to hide under the rocks during the day, and only come out at night. I went for over a year without seeing any in a tank I had with a couple of triggers. When I tore the tank down, I was surprised to find many of them on the undersides of the rocks.

To be honest, given the size of your tank, and the size those fish will reach, a clean up crew would be the last thing to worry about.

Try a couple of turbo snails and see if they last.
