New to Reef tanks
I have a new tank that has a refugium not canister filtration. But I have been cycling for 3 weeks and my entire house stinks of fish. What can I do to lighten the smell before my wife kills me for starting up my second tank?

That's weird. I've never had any smell from my tank. Did you put anything like a dead shrimp into it? (not necessary, though some do). What are your readings of ammonia, nitrate, etc. Give us more detail.
and To Reef Central We'll try to help you get through this. Tanks don't, as a rule, smell.

Filter the water through charcoal will reduce the odor, but if the tank or rock continues to produce more odor, it may be a waste of time. If that doesn't work, then try roses!!

Are you sure it's the tank and not you...?
Is there anything decaying in the tank? If so, get it out. Might pull each rock and sniff it to see. Jeff |
