Purple Tech?
Has anyone used Purple Tech coraline algae accelerator? Was wondering if this product was any good or not. How long before you see results if any and what are the pros/cons of using it? Thanks

I haven't, and don't plan on it. If it is similar to "Purple Up", I wouldn't waste the money. Would be better off just using a 2 part (( Cal and Alk )), and dosing as your tank/test kits indicates.

I fell its better to dose individual elements then a combined element, the more control you have the better

Here's a longterm route to as much coralline (and good water) as you want:
my sig has proper params for pretty-good-water. You'll note that magnesium reading. Hit that. You'll have beaucoup coralline---I wish I could give you some: I have to scrape it off the glass. And it's good for your tank. You need: an alkalinity, a calcium, and a magnesium test, and you need the corresponding supplements. I use Kent. Now, you have to have just one rock that has coralline on it: it has to start somewhere. But get the readings to match mine, and you'll be golden til the magnesium gets used up. Then just keep replenishing it. Note: my calcium supplementation is for stony coral, so you likely won't need the calcium supplement IF you do regular water changes, unless you have stonies or clams. But imho, tracking alk is VERY good for a tank, and if you want coralline, magnesium: the deal is, alk, cal and mg are all interrelated, and without mg, neither alk nor cal will stay in proper balance and useable, so they are all equally important---just that without corals you won't have many thing sucking calcium out of the water.
