upload them to photobucket, and then copy and paste the IMG Code into here.

I purchased a GBM (Gold Bar Maroon) clown several years ago from my LFS. And I too was very concerned that it was more burnt orange than maroon for the longest time. But now that he is grown he is a beautiful Maroon with very yellow stripes. So- I bet you will see him/her change as they grow, but mine took several months. I hope this helps your conerns..........

The color of your lighting affects what you see, too.

When I had a pair, they turned darker with age, the female especially.

The same holds true for the black Ocellaris. The color should develop with age.

They start out all cute and orange and gradually turn dark corresponding with their increasingly dark, evil thoughts. That's why the little male tends to stay bit lighter than the female as he appears to retain a tiny shard of that original sweet little fish he once was. That seems ironic since you'd think he'd surly be plotting her demise

Those are def maroons and beautiful at that. Like mentioned above they will darken with age. Just curious if you were not happy with the coloring why did you not wait and get a pair you would be happy with.

One thing we can def say is you will not have an issue with who the female is lol

+1. My female maroon clown is almost black now and about 4 times the size of the male.

I have 1 very similar, bright orange that is in the tank I have at my office, the one at my home is a very dark maroon. I was told it depended largely on where they are from.
