Derasa clam help!!!
i need help i bought this derasa clam months ago. It's been great big and beautiful no problems, moved itself around in the sand a little but that was about it. We recently upgraded everything and went to a bigger tank about 10 days ago and it has been fine but now today hes acting weird. i dont know all the tech terms to bare with me.. his shell is open as usually but the meaty colorful part is recessed and not all the way to the top as usually and its mouth is EXTREMELY open. also its shell near the edges almost looks like its shedding.... any ideas any help? i moved it just a little because i think in my rush to place it i turned its mouth a little towards a cave/rock so i dont know if maybe i prevented it from doing its normal clam thing, also i swtiched from finer sand to the black courser sand dont know if that matters or helps any one? all my water parameters are excellent and i have no problems. my husband and i maintain the tank very well. but i need help! any suggestions or insight is of course much appreciated. ill also try to take a good pic... sorry if it doesnt turn out very good.

Did the foot get torn off when you moved from the other tank or did you take a sharp blade and cut off it's attachments?
