I use this, I have tried many. I use superglue gel on both the side going to the coral and the rock. The only side effect is that it makes my skimmer overflow for about 15 min. It works awesome with the superglue combination and descent alone.

FYI - I've used putty. I received a coral Dead on arrival from a vendor. Bag had popped, all bleached out. Anyway, put it in the tank hoping for a recovery and filed claim. Sent them required pictures and they basically said the putty killed it - that it generated heat while curing and ultimately killed it. They indicated it was the worst thing to use.

In the end, they covered the loss as I had photographs of the wet box, bleached coral and enough of a temper to get it covered. I was satisfied how it was ultimately handled, but could have been out if it hadn't been for the additional evidence.

I use a combination of potty mix ( from ACE) about $ 4 and super glue gel.

the putty only works on rock that is dry. the super glue is the best. everytime ive used putty under water or when it is wet it has lost its hold after a couple of months.
