What's next in the progression of my tank?
As my reefing addiction continues, I'm trying to figure out what equipment I should aim for next.
Here's what I have so far. 75 gallon RR tank Nova Extreme 6 bulb T5 fixture Sump with Fuge containing cheato Dual BRS GFO / Carbon Reactor Precision Marine In-Sump Skimmer BRS 5 Stage Plus RO/DI unit ATO and Refractometer are on order. What would be my next purchase or am I pretty set for a while? Outside of the fish in have listed in my sig, I have the following in regards to coral: Open Brain Frogspawn 3" Acropora frag 2 small Monitcap frags Clam From here I just plan on adding more lps and sps coral periodically. Maybe 1 more small fish. |

IMO I would say youre set for a while. I would spend money on coral now. Sounds like a pretty sweet setup, you have all the basics in place and then some. Sit back, enjoy, watch everything grow, add frags here and there.

How are you adding Alk & Cal? I was about where you are and just got 3 BRS dosers to dose Alk, Cal & Mag. Works great. One less daily chore I need to do.

What do you have for water movement? With those hard corals you have, you're going to need some powerheads and such to allow them to flourish.

2 x 750 Koralia's 1 x 1050 Koralia's Plus whatever the return pump is pushing out. I got the pump used and I'm not sure what it's gph is, but it's pretty strong....more than the 1050 PH. |

The only thing I would consider is a controller.

Maybe a wave timer, the koralia evolutions are controllable and will add some nice chaotic flow. Like the previous poster, a controller makes life so much simpler and gives you peace of mind. Also, I know my Apex has a wave maker timer built in
