ID some frags for me? Plenty of pics!
Ok so here’s some pics of my new corals! Mixed in are some of the corals I already have had too… Along with a fts. I need some IDs on some corals, as the names of all of them weren’t listed online, I researched the needs of as many as possible, but I’d appreciate some help with the ones I don’t know. I’ll post all the pics in a numbered list with the IDs of the ones I know. Thanks!
1)Sorry for the crappy pics of this one, too high up to get a really decent shot. Not really sure what it is- ![]() ![]() 2) Zoo frag ![]() 3)Another zoo frag, sorry it’s a bit blurry ![]() 4)Decent looking little Acan frag- somewhat high up in the tank, we will see how it does with the lights, may have to move it lower ![]() 5)Pipe organ, a bit blurry due to the waving around in the flow- ![]() 6)Looks like maybe a shroom on a piece of dead coral? Sorry the colors are a bit washed out ![]() 7) Another acan ![]() 8) I think I like acans lol ![]() |

#9 and #12 look like mushrooms
#10 looks like a chalice Looks great. Your Green Star Polyps will take eventually take over as much rock as you let it. Sometimes people put it on its own separate rock on the sandbed. That said it looks great either way, just can be a nuisance. |

#2 is Radioactive Dragon Eye zoas. Agree with Ticul. Take the GSP off the main rock pile and keep it on a separate rock. You will thank us later!!! Even the pipe organ will become invasive.
What's holding the rock up on the right side? Hoping you have some type of support rod in there. Great start. |

Thanks guys, appreciate the info on what I have in there! Guess the orange chalice in #10 can be placed now that I know what it is.
As for the GSP, Not real sure what the fate of that thing is in the long run... Kind of ugly to me haha, may let it grow some, then take it back to the LFS for store credit and see what else they may give me in it's stead... As for the rock work yeldarbj- I have it all epoxied, I used loctite underwater repair epoxy, which has proven to actually cure stronger than the rock itself. It doesnt dry to be completely hard either, it's somewhat rubbery, but a VERY hard rubber. Ultimately, I can pick up the rocks by any spot on the rock work, and they will all lift up without breaking hehe. -Scott |

Glue the GSP on the back glass. It will spread and you will have yourself a sweet background.

Well, the GSP is gonna sit where it's at for now till I can figure out where else to put it. The background idea is unique, but not really my thing, thanks for the advice!
I dunno if this small tank will end up with room for it, otherwise, I may put it on the piece of live rock in the back left (my seed rock) and just let it take over that rock... Seems my Acans are accepting my tank, they are already growing slowly, but visibly, mostly just covering the sections of white where their skeletons are exposed... Hopefully they keep going! -Scott |
