Water Change

i have had my tank up and running for two months I do have a few fish in it ..Should i do a water change or not This may sound dumb but some say yes some so no b/c it a newer tank plz help ...Thanks eric

I've been changing water on a tank that has no fish...

What are the details of the system? Sump, fuge, skimmer, live rock? That'll all make a difference.

Regardless, I think most would say, yes.

Current Tank Info: 125g DT, custom 30g sump, ATB elegance, eheim 1260, mp40 (too many failed wetsides), gyre 150 (love it)

Yes, it never hurts to do a water change. If all you have is fish in the tank then you could consider checking your nitrates and doing a change only when they get a little high. If you have coral, its a whole different story and water changes achieve a much broader purpose than simply diluting the pollution.

I agree with Sedor, but would add that a largish water change after the cycle, whether there were high nitrates or not, is a good idea. I would then follow his advice.

Current Tank Info: 475 multitank system is now running! Several hundred gallons of additions planned!

Definitely water change. Check the parameters before and after also to see what you did.
