BioCube HQI Lighting questions
I have had problems with 2 biocube 29gal and 4 hoods. The company has made it possible for me to upgrade to a HQI. Now I no longer have hood problems. My new problem is the HQI doesn't have a blue actinic light. I know the 14K bulb is good for the blue that it puts off. Will it be ok to have polyps and soft corals in it? Or should I just stick to LSP and SPS to that tank. I know soft corals need the blue to photosynthesize. Does the Halide bulb provide it just the same? I have only worked with the light bars that had both blue actinic and white lights together. I am just stepping into the metal halide world. Worst of all it is just the halide bulb by its self not a combination with the actinic bulbs. I thought the HQI would have had the actinic light along with the led moon light. Any ideas or info?
