Power consumption analysis

I know many of us have many different setups, but I wonder has anyone sat down and tried to break out how much power they use for what functions in their reefs?

If so, could you share?

There was also a thread done by Garage when he went to LEDs. If you are interested let me know and I will see if I can find it.

when i built my 560/g i used a meter on everything and before buying anything. I used only 550/w for flow, skimmer and life support and 1600 on lighting. Made a big difference on my E- bill.

Here are two versions depending on what version of office you have... You can use this to analogize pretty much all aspects of your aquarium or other items. By simply changing run time and so forth it will auto calculate your costs from hourly, daily, monthly, yearly and so forth. And yes, it is dead on accurate The only thing it cannot account for is variables of heater usage which is a big factor. That is where a kilowatt comes in.
