tuning the reef octopus ro po1000 skimmer
I just bought the skimmer and not sure if im supposed to glue the pipe that has the red handle. The skimmer is over filling so fast so i have no idea what to do, how deep do you guys place the skimmer in?

I have that skimmer. I got it jan 3rd. Mine was overflowing also. I have it sitting in 6 inches of water, and still overflowed.
I contacted the vendor, who in turn contacted coralvue. I have the solution now. Mine works fine now. Question (1) Is your skimmer in 6 inches of water? (2) How long is your riser pipe ? ( n: pipe) The pipe i got was 4 1/4 inches long and thier solution was to shorten it. They must have package the wrong length pipe. If you need the length i can measure it for you. Hope this helps |
