Dosing newb....
So what, if any, are thediefference in running dosers with calc and alk. or running reactors for the same. Does the calcium reactor have to have the CO2 canister? Confused on it all.
Some people also say that depending on the amount of corals you have will depend on if you have to dose or not.... what is too much? |

IMO dosing is a better plan for smaller tanks.. i think people are surprised by the amount of CaCl and NaHCO that you actually have to add daily when there is a sizable coral population growing..
the reactors work well for both smaller and larger tanks but are best on larger systems. Calcium reactors inject CO2 to lower the ph so that the media (aragonite)in the reactor dissolves and releases the ions you need into the water
