Micro Bubbles... :(

This is my first tank with a sump. I am getting micro bubbles and I am not sure how to get rid of them. When I look in the sump I can see are bubbles coming out from the pump where the return line is hooked up to it. Could this be the cause of the problem?

Microbubbles are uselly caused by a leak in a line at a fitting. Reseal and see if the bubbles go away.

The tank is a Marineland and it has a corner overflow. I used the plumbing that came with the kit and the siphon break on the return plumbing is above the water level. It is right at the elbow. Is this normal?

They stopped right after I posted that.

Do a search for "Herbie" overflow. you can convert yr tank quite easily. without a full syphon in your overflow pipes, you will get bubbles in the sump and therefore DT via the return pump.

As others have said too, much sure all your fittings are good and leak free.

HTH

cheers

A pic of your sump and drains might help us find the problem and offer a solution. It's hard to know what to tell you to do without seeing what's going on. Like the saying goes, a pic is worth 1000 words.
