Question Cupramine Flame Angel or no?

Hey all,

Would appreciate some help. To cut a long story short:

- very established 30 gal with so much live rock the aquascaping is up to the waterline
- massively overskimmed (deltec MCE600)
- 2 small percs and a reasonably sized YW Goby
- tanks never previously had disease, suffered from a couple of cirlolanids when I set it up, but thankfully managed to get rid of them
- basically no additions for almost 5 years
- params fine
- lots of xenia, zoas, gsp, toadstool. one torch coral. no sps.

Couple of weeks ago I added a small Flame Angel (first addition in nearly 5 years). Basically it was so long since I'd added anything to the tank I'd forgotten about the horrors of ich. Flame Angel came down with MI pretty soon after being put in tank (I think she may have had a couple of spots when I bought her - dumb I know, but as said - i'd forgotten about ich). Figured it was probably just some stress, and that she'd get over it. She didn't. MI got worse, so decided to set up HT and move her into that (after approx 2 weeks with mild MI).

Percs and YWG fine (but they are hard as nails ).

Flame Angel has been in HT for a few days now, and is looking much better, with no treatment at all (this could just be the MI falling off stage). She's been continuously eating well, although looked a bit sorry for herself (hanging around in the corner) just before I moved her into the HT. Basically didn't want to copper her straight away, figured I'd let her get over the stress of moving first, then do it. Now she's looking a lot better I'm wondering whether to a) crack on with cupramine or b) leave it a bit to see how she does in HT. I'd have no qualms about coppering her right now, except I've heard varied reports on how Flames deal with copper.

Would appreciate your collective (wise!) thoughts, I'm leaning towards cupramin'ing the HT tomorrow (slowly!), so I can keep a close eye on how she takes it over the weekend (i have CU test kits etc).

Thanks

Dan (& Scarlet the FA )
